Souls of Beldam, was founded in 2020 specialissing in creating one-of-a-kind customisable dolls.
Having studied the art of special effects and prosthetics at university, I have developed a true passion for artistry in all forms such as sculpting, painting and textiles. The skills learnt from studying these disciplines have greatly influenced the style and techniques used in the doll making. Great care is made to give the dolls an aged look as though they have been passed down through generations.

The custom process begins with the customer describing their ideal doll, this can be a gift for a loved one or a personal gift to yourself. Pictures are then provided of the person the doll is based of including a description of their appearance and style. Proving a description of their personality further helps me portray this within the doll, especially as accessories and props can be provided to suit the customers hobby or profession.
Each doll head is a one of a kind sculpture where a chosen button colour and expression can be chosen. The sculptural element is my favourite aspect of the doll making process as I get to make each doll unique and special for the customer. From a young age, I have always felt drawn to the macabre and morbid art style, whether this is through the form of movies, illustrations or historical artistry. Further, I take huge inspiration from all things horror related and from the works of Burton and Selick. Also, I am heavily inspired by the Victorian era and antique items, this is why I love to make the dolls look distressed as if they have been hiding in the attic from previous ancestors. I adore the concept of creating a whole world and aesthetic for my artwork which follows into the experience of the packaging, each doll comes carefully wrapped in custom tissue paper with a personalised unique envelope which carries a doll certificate and care guide.
